De grote ik heb hier geen zin in show

Voilà des personnes, comme vous et moi, qui se retrouvent soudain sous les feux de la rampe. Impossible pour elles d’y échapper !

Tout le monde les regarde.

Alors oui, elles tentent de faire quelque chose.
Se montrer, divertir… mais comment ?

L’homme au foyer essaie d’être drôle, le pêcheur sportif se montre plus dur qu’il ne l’est en réalité. Autant de tentatives maladroites pour devenir ce qu’ils ne sont pas du tout.

Alors dans leurs yeux apparait la panique et leur envie profonde : retourner le plus vite possible dans l’obscurité, loin de la lumière infernale de ce spectacle.

Een show waar je liever niet aan mee doet

In deze woordloze kleutervoorstelling zie je hoe nietsvermoedende mensen plotseling in de spotlights komen te staan. Juist op een moment dat ze zich onbespied wanen, realiseren ze zich ineens, dat ze vol in beeld zijn. Vluchten kan niet, dus ja…dan moet je iets…show, entertainment…maar hoe?

Multi-instrumentalist en showmaster Keimpe de Jong overvalt acteurs René van ’t Hof en Willemijn Zevenhuijzen in hun dagelijkse handelingen. Kruiswoordraadsels, vishengels en wasmanden vallen pardoes uit hun handen. Wat volgt is een onbeholpen poging iets te worden wat ze helemaal niet zijn. De puzzelaar begint klunzig te dansen, de sportvisser doet stoerder dan hij eigenlijk is en de huisman probeert ineens heel grappig uit de hoek te komen. In de paniek in hun ogen zie je wat ze eigenlijk hartstochtelijk wensen: zo snel mogelijk terug naar het donker, weg uit het helle licht van deze show.

A show where you don’t want to take part

In this wordless show for pre-school children you see how unsuspecting people suddenly end up coming under the spotlight. Just when they think they can be alone and undisturbed, they suddenly realise that they are right in the picture. There’s no escape, so, yes, you have to do something of a show or entertainment, but how?

Multi-instrumentalist and showmaster Keimpe de Jong assails actors René van ’t Hof and Willemijn Zevenhuijzen in their daily lives. Crossword puzzles, fishing rods, and washing baskets suddenly fall from their hands. What follows is a clumsy attempt to be something which they are certainly not. The puzzler begins to dance clumsily, the recreational fisherman pretends to be a tough guy, and the househusband suddenly tries to be very witty. In the panic in their eyes you can see what they really want, namely to escape as quickly as possible back to the dark and away from the bright lights of this show.
