Mont St.Gumboot

Une création qui vogue entre poésie graphique, absurde, surréalisme, art brut et comptines.

Le Mont Silent Gumboot est la plus haute chaine de montagnes de l’ile de Great Labuan. En son centre se trouve le mont Wellington, un volcan actif qui éructe encore de la lave imaginaire. Les six personnes qui vivent ici (dont trois gagnent leur vie en pêchant des sons et des lumières) s’occupent en attrapant leurs propres idées, qui souvent s’échappent du seau ou du filet. Parmi celles-ci, des éponges sauteuses, des verres chantants, des bottes lumineuses…

Plus on les découvre, plus les habitants et habitantes du Mont St Gumboot sont sympathiques et loufoques. On n’a plus qu’une envie : s’installer avec elles et eux !

Een creatie die schommelt tussen grafische poëzie, absurdisme, surrealisme, art brut en kinderrijmpjes. 

De Mont Silent Gumboot is de hoogste bergketen van het eiland Great Labuan. In het hart ervan ligt de berg Wellington, een actieve vulkaan die nog steeds denkbeeldige lava uitspuwt. De zes mensen die hier wonen (waarvan drie hun brood verdienen met het vissen naar geluid en licht) vermaken zich door hun eigen ideeën te vangen, die vaak uit de emmer of het net ontsnappen. Onder die ideeën bevinden zich springende sponzen, zingende glazen en lichtgevende laarzen… 

Hoe meer je ontdekt over de bewoners van Mont St Gumboot, hoe leuker en excentrieker ze blijken te zijn. Het enige wat je nog wilt: je bij hen voegen!

Mont Silent Gumboot is the highest mountain range on the island Great Labuan. At the heart of the mountain range is Mount Wellington, an active volcano that still spews out imaginary lava. The six people who live there (of whom three earn a living by fishing for sound and light) entertain themselves by catching their own ideas, which often escape their buckets or nets. Beneath those ideas are jumping sponges, singing glasses and light-up boots… 

The more you discover about the inhabitants of Mont St Gumboot, the more fun and eccentric they turn out to be. You’ll want only one thing: to join them!
